DARKEST ERA “Severance” CD officially released in Europe today along with new videoclip

DARKEST ERA have released a new video for the track ‘Beyond the Grey Veil’ on the same day that the band’s new album ‘Severance’ receives its European release via Cruz Del Sur Music. The video can be seen here:

Speaking about the new video, Guitarist Ade Mulgrew said: “Beyond the Grey Veil is the thematic centrepiece of the album. All roads lead to that song in some ways and it’s pretty representative of the kind of atmosphere we wanted to conjure up on Severance. Even Costin Chioreanu based the album artwork on it. The video was directed by Angus Mitchell, an extremely talented guy who was instantly on the same page as us in terms of the aesthetic we wanted to achieve.“

From today, Cruz del Sur Music officially opens the pre-order of DARKEST ERA‘s “Severance”, to be released in United States on June 3rd and in Europe on June 13th in Europe. All orders will be dispatched immediately.

“Severance” features the remarkable artwork of Costin Chioreanu, and was described by Last Rites webmagazine as “the sound of a remarkable band, wholly at peace with itself“. Indeed, all fans of the “Last Caress of Light” will find in Darkest Era‘s latest work a matured band that really feels comfortable having reached the top of their game. Battleroar “Blood of Legends” is certainly one of the strongest Epic Metal releases of the last few years. New singer Gerrit Mutz (of Sacred Steel fame) pleases his fans and surprise the skeptics once again delivering the goods with a very convincing and inspired performance.
